Walt Disney World’s hottest new club is Hurly-Burly, coming to the BoardWalk! The lounge will feature live entertainment in a 21+ venue at night and a more family-centric vibe during the afternoon. Hurly-Burly will open on October 1st, Walt Disney World’s 55th anniversary. In this post, we’ll share the all day menu for the club along with our commentary.

Step inside this historic seaside theater, once the home of the BoardWalk’s most celebrated vaudeville performers. Now, nearly a hundred years later, Hurly-Burly is opening its doors once again with entertainment offerings, vintage drinks and lite bites inspired by an era of world class performances and nautical novelty!

During the afternoons, pop in for lively activities such as trivia and games designed for the whole family. Then, beginning at 9 p.m., experience vibrant evenings of live music for guests ages 21 and older. And of course, this turn-of-the-century theater would not be complete without a nostalgic all-day menu to match.

As we mentioned, Hurly-Burly opens on October 1st. There are no dining reservations offered, entry is done through a walk up list. We expect that the afternoons will be fairly easy to get a seat during, as the BoardWalk can be a ghost town during that time of day. Evenings will hopefully be a different story if this all goes to plan. At least for first few weeks of operation, we expect the nightclub to be busy. It bears repeating that this menu will be available for all opening hours.

Hurly-Burly will include a walk-up window, a very welcome addition to the area. There’s never been enough quick options of interest at the BoardWalk and hopefully this window includes some of the more creative drinks and dishes. Speaking of, let’s take a look at the menu! We’ll start with the food, including the photos that Walt Disney World has shared.

• Meatballs in Tomato Gravy: Veal, pork, and beef meatballs with tomato gravy, stracciatella cheese, Pecorino Romano, and toasted focaccia

• Roast Beef Sliders: Shaved roast beef and horseradish-mustard sour cream on slider rolls
• Theater Concessions: Trio of meatballs, sugar cookie, and buttered popcorn
• Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts with miso-caramel sauce

Commentary

Color me intrigued, especially by the drinks on this menu. If the Caramel Corn Cold Brew and Old Fashioned are half as good as I’ve decided they will be in my head then they’ll be the best drinks on property! The cocktail list is pretty inspired, which should help offset the high prices that I’m sure will be charged.

As for the food, it looks alright. I’m not sure that I see the throughline in what’s offered and the theme of a 100 year jazz club being brought back to life. That said, I’m no expert on 100 year old, east coast jazz club dining! If I disappear from this website, I’m sure it will be to pursue more knowledge about that topic. For now, I’ll say that the shrimp and doughnuts look tasty!

I’m very interested in how Hurly-Burly works out for Walt Disney World. The BoardWalk has churned through different restaurants and vendors lately but more permanent residents seem to be settling in. The type of concept that this nightclub is offering has worked well throughout Disney World, whether it be Jock Lindsay’s, Beak & Barrel, or GEO-82.

Adding the live music element should play well. So should the family offerings in the afternoon, not because we think the place will be overly popular then but because it means Hurly-Burly isn’t going to have to completely rely on a post 9 PM crowd to make the place successful.

The concept looks very promising and should draw in a crowd when it first opens. Whether or not it can bring back repeat visitors will go a long ways in how successful Hurly-Burly will be. Nailing the opening would be a big deal, as word of mouth and reviews will set the tone. I’m hopeful that this adds something unique, entertaining and delicious to the BoardWalk!
