Our Favorite 1-Credit Table-Service Restaurants on the Disney Dining Plan

The Disney Dining Plan is one of the most asked about aspects of a Walt Disney World trip. The add-on has been around for a long time, including the very popular Free Disney Dining Plan vacation package promotion. When not participating in the ‘free’ promotion, the plan costs $98.58/day in 2026. Depending on the type of vacation you’re planning on, the plan can save you some money along the way. In this post, we’ll detail some of our favorite table-service restaurants to eat at while on the Disney Dining Plan.

Before we get too far into this post, I want to clarify that the dining plan (DDP, if you will) is not always a good value. Some would argue (not me) that it’s hardly ever worth the price. The argument’s pretty straight forward – the DDP is an act in self-indulgence and while you might save some money on paper it also requires eating a lot of steak and dessert. That’s a dream come true for me but my doctor isn’t as big of a fan. We’ve come to like using the Disney Dining Plan for a few nights at a time. Over the course of a week, it can be just too much food for us but to each their own.

Disney is counting on the plan being profitable by people not using all of their credits or by dining at restaurants that aren’t good values. That’s where this post comes in.

Another point of clarification is that this post isn’t about the best table-service values on the Disney Dining Plan. If it was, Tutto Italia would definitely be on the list. We don’t like Tutto Italia though so it’s not included. Additionally, there are some restaurants we really like that aren’t good values on the plan. Simple enough, right? To make this list, the restaurant has to be a good value and be a place we like to eat. We’ve ranked all of the table-service restaurants we’ve eaten at in Disney World, not according to the Disney Dining Plan, if you’re interested in that!

The value proposition of this is worth discussing before getting to the restaurants. More often than not, signature restaurants on the DDP are bad values. That’s because they use 2 credits instead of 1 while likely not being double the price. Once in a while, you can find a meal that comes close to doubling a 1 credit restaurant. If you do, then book it! Signature restaurants are excellent at Disney World and well worth trying, they just don’t make this post because of that value problem.

As we mentioned, the Disney Dining Plan costs $98.58/day in 2026. That includes:

  • 1 Quick-Service Meal Per Night of Stay
  • 1 Table-Service Meal Per Night of Stay
  • 1 Snack or Nonalcoholic Beverage Per Night of Stay
  • 1 Resort-Refillable Mug

A snack is usually between $5 and $10 per day while a quick-service meal (that includes a drink) will be at least $20 and likely in the $30-$40 range if you order an alcoholic beverage. Going by that quick math, if you can get the table-service meal for around $80 per person then you are looking at some pretty big savings. Much of that is contingent on if you like a cocktail or wine with dinner. If you do, then we can get there often once you pair that with dessert and an entree. If you don’t then there’s some real doubt on if the DDP is right for you.

Using $80 as that magic number, I’ve come up with this list below. Say you had a 5 night stay, eating at 3 of the restaurants below would still offer enough value on the DDP to do a signature restaurant and come out ahead for the 5 nights. That’s ultimately the strategy we recommend.

Before we get into it, a reminder that restaurants in Epcot and Hollywood Studios can sometimes be combined with dining packages that include seating for Fantasmic or whatever concert series is going on at Epcot. This adds value to the Disney Dining Plan and is worth looking into if any of the restaurants below are appealing and in those parks.

Here are our favorite 1-credit table-service values on the Disney Dining Plan!

Toledo – Tapas, Seafood & Steak

We’ll start with our favorite 1-credit option. Toledo is among the best restaurants in Walt Disney World without any disclaimers. The restaurant sits at the top of Gran Destino Tower in the Coronado Springs Resort and offers an exciting assortment of food. Either seafood or steak is the way to go here. My favorite option when on the Disney Dining Plan is going with the Chuletón Bone-In Rib-Eye for Two, assuming you aren’t dining solo. That comes in at $115 ($57.50/person) so getting above the $80 threshold for the whole meal is easy. Even if you order something else, or they take that option off of the DDP, Toledo holds a strong value and is an exceptional restaurant.

Chefs de France

Our favorite World Showcase restaurant had to make the list! It also happens to be a really strong value as a 1-credit restaurant. There’s a number of entrees over $35 and the Steak Frites are nearly $55. On top of that, the drink list is more substantial at Chefs de France and the desserts are fairly expensive. We’ve waxed poetic about eating here plenty of times and remain devout fans of the restaurant!

Ohana

I won’t beat around the bush, Ohana is not as good as it used to be. The restaurant continues to tumble in our table-service rankings. With that out of the way, the atmosphere is still lovely and the food is good enough to find a spot on this list. Ohana is also expensive, coming in at $67 before the added cocktail. That gets us a few dollars above 80 after the fun drink.

Steakhouse 71 Dinner

We were a bit mixed on the Steakhouse 71 dinner, loving the drinks and the dessert but finding the steak to be a little less flavorful than other restaurants on this list. But it’s hard to overlook the Cocoa Boulevardier (my favorite cocktail at Disney World) and Signature Chocolate Cake. When you add those in with one of the more expensive steaks, you’ve got a great meal that comes in just a few dollars short of that $80 mark. If going here for breakfast or lunch, we recommend paying out of pocket and not using the Disney Dining Plan.

1900 Park Fare

One of two character meals on our list. 1900 Park Fare is in a glamorous setting in the Grand Floridian and has a nice assortment of characters and food. Don’t get the two of those confused. Going here for dinner offers a strong value on the DDP, with the meal costing $69 before adding a drink. This is one of the more relaxing character meals while also serving some good food at the buffet.

Teppan Edo

This Hibachi restaurant in the Epcot’s Japan Pavilion surprised us on our most recent visit to WDW. The food was delicious and the experience was fun! We were both impressed by the meat offered, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Most entrees run around $40, putting a meal here a little over $70 with a drink and dessert. That isn’t the best value on the list but the food is delicious.

Via Napoli

Another World Showcase entry and this one comes with some caveats. Getting a pizza at Via Napoli while on the dining plan isn’t a good use of a credit. That said, the pizza is pretty tasty! What is a good value is getting the Branzino or Filetto di Manzo. The latter is $49 and will get the meal over $80 while the former is $39 and should make the meal over $70. Both options are more creative than your run of the mill steak and eating here offers a festive atmosphere.

Hollywood & Vine

Our other character dining option isn’t as good of a value as 1900 Park Fare but we like the food better. Dining at Hollywood & Vine is $64 ($5 less than 1900 Park Fare) which should still get the meal over $80 with a drink. Guests get to meet a good selection of the Fab Five and there are seasonal character meals here too. This remains one of the more surprisingly delicious buffets we’ve had at Walt Disney World and is a good spot to use a table-service credit.
