Tokyo Disney Resort has announced their calendar of events for the fiscal 2026 year. Oriental Land Company, who operates Tokyo Disney Resort, has been announcing their calendars in advance for the last few years and the American parks, specifically Disneyland, have started to follow suit. In this post, we’ll share the calendar and event dates! Just to clarify, this calendar does start in April as it’s the fiscal year and not the calendar year. Here are the year’s events.
Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary “Sparkling Jubilee” (April 15, 2026 – March 31, 2027)
Tokyo DisneySea opened on September 4, 2001 as the only Disney park themed to the sea, and unveiled its eighth themed port, Fantasy Springs, in 2024. Now, to celebrate 25 years since its opening, Tokyo DisneySea will present Tokyo DisneySea 25th “Sparkling Jubilee,” an exhilarating anniversary event symbolizing that the park’s sparkling stories will continue to shine for years to come.

Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival (April 15 – June 30, 2026)
For a limited period during the 25th anniversary year, the Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival invites guests on a culinary journey. Themed to “traveling the world through cuisine,” guests can enjoy a variety of delicious offerings throughout various areas of the park while experiencing the unique atmosphere of Tokyo DisneySea. This event will feature not only a diverse selection of food and wine, but a variety of seasonal alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy.

Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World (TDL) (April 9 – June 30, 2026)
Tokyo Disneyland will present Vanellope’s Sweet Pop World, the sixth event in the Disney Pal-Palooza series. Following her star appearance in the third event, Vanellope from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Wreck-It Ralph returns, transforming the park into a delightful world filled with tasty treats once again. Decorations, special menu items and a selection of special merchandise will be available, before the special event officially starts, from March 9.
Fun Time with Toy Story 5 (July 2 – September 14)
To mark the premiere of the upcoming Pixar Animation Studios film, Toy Story 5 — scheduled for release in summer 2026 in Japan — both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will present the special event Fun Time with Toy Story 5. At Tokyo Disneyland, guests can enjoy special menu items and have fun searching for characters from the film with a themed stamp rally, while both parks will feature decorations and special merchandise inspired by the world of Toy Story.
Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort (July 2 – September 14)
The special event Summer Cool-off at Tokyo Disney Resort will take place at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Guests can enjoy a special summer filled with exciting and happy moments through a variety of “Get Soaked” programs.

The special event, Disney Halloween will take place at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, inviting guests to enjoy a unique Halloween experience at each of the Tokyo Disney Resort parks.
Lazos de la Familia (TDS) (September 16 – November 2)
The special event Lazos de la Familia will once again be presented at Lost River Delta in Tokyo DisneySea. Guests will find colorful decorations and traditional Mexican elements, paying tribute to Día de los Muertos (Spanish for “Day of the Dead”), a central theme in Pixar Animation Studios film Coco.

Disney Christmas (November 11 – December 25)
Both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will celebrate the holidays with the special event Disney Christmas, offering guests a different festive experience at each park.
Special New Year’s Event at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea (January 1 – 11, 2027)
Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will hold a special event that can only be experienced during the New Year period. Disney friends will greet guests in vibrant New Year outfits, and special merchandise and menu items will be available to those visiting the parks during this festive time.

Commentary
I’m going to keep my commentary brief, as I haven’t experienced all of these events. We do have our dedicated post about the best months to visit Tokyo Disney Resort. The events play a minor role in that but don’t always move the needle for us.
This year (2025), I was able to double dip and experience both Halloween and Christmas inside of Tokyo Disney Resort. Without much hesitation, I prefer Christmas. Not that Halloween was bad! There’s just not as much offered during that season while Christmas had more decor and entertainment.
As for the rest of the events, the big one is Tokyo DisneySea’s 25th anniversary. We’ve covered what the anniversary entails so far but I’m holding out hope for another announcement or two. A harbor show and stage show is solid but I’d love another surprise to come. That celebration is coming quickly but lasts nearly a whole year.
Outside of that, the festivals have a few things of interest like character cavalcades and specialty food. The summer one has always looked like an absurd amount of water is dumped on a bunch of guests. “Get Soaked” is a very fitting title! That seems like a pretty good time. I wouldn’t necessarily plan your trip to Tokyo Disney Resort (and Japan) based on any of these events, instead let them be a nice little bonus if they overlap with your visit.
