Walt Disney World’s popular Halloween party is coming back to Magic Kingdom, beginning on August 15th and running through October. Disney released all of the dates, ticket information and details about the 2025 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. In this post, we’ll share that information and add in our own commentary.

As a refresher, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event. Regular park tickets will not get you in. Here are the dates for 2025, including the dates that have sold out:
2025 Party Dates
- Aug. 15 (sold out), 17 (sold out), 19 (sold out), 22 (sold out), 24, 26, 29 (sold out)
- Sept. 2, 5, 7, 9, 12 (sold out), 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30
- Oct. 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10 (sold out), 13, 14, 16, 17, 19, 23, 24, 26, 28, 30, 31 (sold out)
To help conjure your fiendish pursuits, note that in August, party dates occur on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This is also true for September with the addition of one Thursday date on Sept 25. In October, ghouls can descend upon Magic Kingdom every Thursday and Friday, most Sundays, most Tuesdays and Monday the 13th.
In a shocking development, the Halloween party starts later in 2025 than it did in 2024. For years it had creeped forward to the point where starting these parties in July seemed within reason. Last year’s party dates began on August 9th so we’ve moved almost a full week later this year.
While there’s no stated reasoning for the later start dates, it’s not hard to convey that WDW wants to give Disney Starlight, the upcoming nighttime parade, an extra week of uninterrupted nights. The promised parade has experienced several delays and still has no start date announced. Adding an extra week without parties doesn’t seem like much, but if Disney Starlight keeps getting pushed back then the two could interfere with each other.
There could be other reasons for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party getting pushed back but I have no idea what they would be. The event is extremely popular and Disney doesn’t usually cut back on extra revenue. To be fair, the party does have the same amount of dates as last year – 38.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tickets
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket prices vary per date and will be available for purchase starting on May 15 for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. Tickets will be available starting on May 22 for all other guests.
Prices will vary depending on the date. The closer to Halloween the date is, the more expensive it will be. Ticket prices range from $119-$229. Party dates often sell out, so our best tip is to plan early and purchase tickets in advance for your desired party date.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Party Ticket discounts for Annual Passholders and DVC Members are available. If applicable, each ticket would be $10 off for event dates in August and September. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary guests can enter as early as 4:00 PM before the party kicks off at 7:00 PM. This means guests have up to 8 hours to celebrate all across the park.

Which Characters are in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular?
Add a little mischief into your evening with a stop by Cinderella Castle to watch the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. At this spellbinding show, you’ll see The Sanderson Sisters, and other dastardly villains in this musical celebration.

See More Frightful Friends
In addition to all the spooky sights and Halloween delights listed earlier, make sure to hit the dance floor with favorite Disney Jr. characters or rock out to your favorite “Zombies” songs at the Zom-Beats Bash. Once a night, you can even see Jack Skellington as the skies come alive in Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular.
Trick or Treating at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of the best trick-or-treat destinations, with over a dozen treat trail stops marked on your party map. And this year, guests can expect even more fun than ever before with some familiar (and fiendish) faces surprising guests along the trails.
At each stop, cast members in their famously adorable Halloween costumes give out handfuls of Mars Wrigley favorites like M&Ms, Snickers and Starburst. And no worries if you forgot your pumpkin bucket at home: Each guest will receive complimentary treat bags for candy collection (that includes adults).
Guests with food allergies can also join in the fun at every stop. Grab a teal bag from a Cast Member and collect teal tokens along the trail to redeem your fill of allergy-free candy at Allergy-Friendly Centers.
Trick-or-treaters do not have to be in costume to collect candy. Guests are encouraged to dress up in creative Halloween costumes. Be sure to follow official costume guidelines.
Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade
In this whimsical production, Mickey, Minnie and their friends don cute costumes to lead a parade of waltzing ghosts, Disney Princesses and treacherous villains. Guests can expect to see rare characters like Pain & Panic from Disney’s “Hercules,” and Vanellope from “Wreck-It Ralph.”
In 2025, the Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade will again take place at 8:15 PM to allow plenty of time for little ones to enjoy the celebration.
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
It’s been three hundred years, right down to the day … or it seems that long since we’ve seen the Sanderson Sisters take the stage. This fan-favorite show is both hilarious and bone-chilling as Winifred, Sarah, and Mary try their haphazard best to cast a spell.
It turns out that they need a little help from their friends, who happen to be some of the most nefarious Disney Villains, including the likes of Hades, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Dr. Facilier and The Evil Queen. Guests will help add ingredients to the cauldron with lots of clapping and singing along.
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular
As the party creeps closer to the witching hour, guests are invited to a spooky story time with the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington, who has transformed Cinderella Castle into a haunted house. Watch as Zero leads Mickey and Friends inside, where spiderwebs, skeletons and Grim Grinning Ghosts await.
Dazzling projections will transform the castle into a spooky fantasy while the sky comes alive with fireworks. Get ready for towering encounters with Ursula, The Queen of Hearts, and Oogie Boogie. Will Mickey and Friends make it out of Jack’s haunted house this time?
Food, New Merch, and Lively Cadavers
Once again, a few of your favorite rides are getting a grim overlay. Expect spellbinding transformations with special lighting and music. Check back to see which attractions are getting the Halloween treatment.
Speaking of scream-worthy experiences, get ready to groove at a new dance party with the music and moves of “Zombies 4” and more “Zombies” fan favorites. And a little spider told us that the Cadaver Dans will be back again this year to sing in soulful harmony.

In addition to festive candy apples and popcorn guests can always find in the park, here’s a link to all of the specialty items offered at the party!
Exclusive party merch will also be available for purchase at Magic Kingdom to commemorate your not-so-scary night of macabre memories.
Commentary
Outside of the commentary about party dates and tickets, which I put in those sections, there’s not much to add here. It seems like business as usual for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
That’s both good and bad news. The party is a proven commodity and one of the most popular events Disney World holds all year. Most dates, if not all, sell out (get your tickets well in advance). Fans and families make it an annual tradition to go. For good reason, the party is really fun! Between the parade, Hocus Pocus show and fireworks, entertainment at the party is fantastic.
All that said, I’d like to see the party add something new that’s a substantial offering. With respect to Zombies 4 (I don’t know what this is, I’m old), adding more shows and niche entertainment would be my preference. For me, that means a Muppets spotting or the Country Bears singing spooky songs. Those specific examples won’t happen but you get the idea.
New offerings could certainly be announced! We’ll wait and see on that one. But it’s also understandable if Disney World stands pat on the party because, well, it works. More details on the party will be released as the dates get closer. For now, get ready to buy your tickets!
