Oogie Boogie Bash is a hard ticket event that takes place in California Adventure on select Autumn nights. The party is extremely popular, featuring characters, treat trails, specialty entertainment and more! In this post, we’ll share the 2025 dates as well as details on the upcoming party. Let’s get to the deets!

The separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will be back at Disney California Adventure park on select nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31!
During this family-friendly, after-hours event, you can creep through Villains Grove at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, satisfy your sweet tooth and encounter characters at immersive Treat Trails and enjoy the “Frightfully Fun Parade.” You can also make your parade viewing extra sweet by booking spots for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.
Admission to the after-hours event also includes entry to Disney California Adventure park three hours before the party begins and unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party.
Tickets are currently on sale. Most dates are sold out, as of August 14th. There are only 2 dates left and we’ll note those below. If you’re wanting to go to the party, I’d advise getting your tickets sooner rather than later. Tickets still being available at this date is unusual and we don’t think that will last.

Here are the dates and prices for this year’s party including the two dates that aren’t sold out (as of August 14th):
- August 17, 2025 – $139
- August 19, 2025 – $139

- October 21, 2025 – $169
- October 23, 2025 – $179
- October 26, 2025 – $189
- October 28, 2025- $189
- October 31, 2025 – $199
By reading that, you can obviously see that the prices go up the closer the dates get to Halloween. Compared to last year, prices have gone up by roughly $5-$10. That’s not as bad as I expected, as the party has always been extremely popular and could probably sell out for nearly double the prices. Not to give Disney any ideas!
Because of that popularity, the event is starting earlier this year. Beginning on August 17th is infringing on Disney World territory. What do you get for celebrating Halloween over 2 months early and in the summer heat? Much cheaper ticket prices!
If you’re planning to get tickets for a specific date, then we recommend getting them as soon as possible. Certain nights will sell out almost immediately while others will last a few days. Once August actually rolls around, we expect the party to be sold out every night. Bring your patience while trying to get tickets, the experience is not pretty and generally not efficient. Maybe plan a nice date with your significant other, it’s super romantic to wait in an online queue for tickets together. Going with friends? Make a drinking game of it!
If you’re new to the party, here’s what you can expect by attending!
Event Details

During this time, enjoy Halloween-themed attractions like Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark! Guests with a ticket to this event do not need to make a theme park reservation to enter Disney California Adventure Park at 3:00 PM or later.
Parking fees are not included in the ticket price. Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Premier Pass and Single Pass are not available during the event.
For those that have experienced the party, the common complaint is that Oogie Boogie Bash is not adding enough new entertainment or experiences year over year. That rings true in 2025 as the most prominent additions (that have been announced) are two characters – Syndrome and Maleficent. I respect their evil powers and all of that, but the criticisms of the California Adventure Halloween Party not changing are fair.
For those going for the first time, that clearly doesn’t matter. The whole party will be a new experience for you. We will be at the first night of the party this year and plan to have an updated review of Oogie Boogie Bash afterwards along with tips and a loose itinerary.
