Tokyo Disney Resort Announces Halloween Dates & Details

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced their Autumn 2025 lineup across both theme parks. Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will each offer some specialty entertainment for the Halloween season, running from September 17th through October 31st. In this post, we’ll share the details on everything offered during their Disney Halloween event.

While the Halloween festivities are more extravagant in the U.S. parks, Tokyo Disney Resort does offer some entertainment and decor. We’ll break down the offerings by each park, starting with Tokyo Disneyland.

Tokyo Disneyland

The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy”

This short parade will take place each day, featuring 6 floats and a host of characters. Dr. Facilier is the ring leader, throwing a party for all of his favorite villains. The parade stops along the route and guests are welcome to join in on the fun by dancing along. “Into the Frenzy” has a flame and smoke effect! Fire is fun! Characters include a host of villains along with Mickey, Minnie and the gang.

Haunted Mansion ‘Holiday Nightmare’

Familiar to Disneyland fans, Haunted Mansion will undergo a Nightmare Before Christmas layover from September 16th through January 12th. While Tokyo Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion facade is more in line with Magic Kingdom’s, the layover inside is very similar to Disneyland’s. Jack Skellington, Sally and Oogie Boogie join all the ghosts for one of the best ride layovers ever.

Decorations

Another item that will be familiar to Disneyland fans is Pumpkin Mickey. At Tokyo Disneyland, the photo spot will be in the middle of World Bazaar. The rest of the area will be adorned with thorns and banners depicting ghosts, villains and more. Most of the decor will stick to World Bazaar and the castle area. At the very front of the park, there will be a Halloween themed Mickey flower bed. Toontown will also get in on the fun with some decor of their own.

Tokyo DisneySea

Disney Halloween Greeting

This Mediterranean Harbor show takes place twice daily and features Mickey, Minnie, Duffy, ShellieMay and more. The characters will board boats that float along the harbor. Tokyo Disney Resort mentions in several places that the characters will be carrying lots of sweets. Does that mean the sweets will be thrown at people? Will the characters eat the sweets while guests watch? I’m not sure, but they definitely have sweets!

Lazos de la Familia

At Lost River Delta in Tokyo DisneySea, Lazos de la Familia will be presented for the first time. Guests will find colorful decorations and traditional Mexican elements, paying tribute to Día de los Muertos (Spanish for “Day of the Dead”), a central theme in Disney and Pixar’s Coco, titled Remember Me in Japan. Around the bridge, Puente Buena Vista, guests can admire colorful skeletons and marigolds, enjoy lively atmosphere entertainment performances of mariachi music, special menu items, and more. Lazos de la Familia will run from September 17th through November 2nd.

Decorations

Mediterranean Harbor and American Waterfront will each take part in the Halloween fun, adding decor. Passaggio MiraCosta and Palazzo Canals will feature some Italian themed decorations. The New York area will include pumpkins and other touches to set the stage for Tower of Terror. Finally, certain Cast Members will be carrying special Halloween buckets in Mediterranean Harbor. Guests that go up to them and say “trick or treat” will receive candy.

Both Parks

Night High Halloween Fireworks

Fireworks will be visible from both parks for this Halloween show. Frankly, we don’t recommend taking time to watch these shows as Tokyo Disney Resort doesn’t make a big deal out of them. It’s more of a little treat if they start to go off and you can stop to watch for a minute or two.

Food & Merchandise

Specialty food will be offered in both parks! In Tokyo Disneyland, Eastside Cafe will feature a set meal themed to Ursula while Center Street Coffee House will have 3 dessert sets themed to Ursula, Maleficent and Cruella. In DisneySea, Casbah Food Court will offer a spicy beef black curry themed to Jafar. Yucatan Base Grill will also offer a specialty menu as part of the Lazos de la Familia celebration. Both parks will have a pumpkin soft serve ice cream. There will be a few specialty food items at the hotels, as well.

Both Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea will offer special merchandise themed to Disney Halloween. The merch ranges from spooky to playful and includes rings inspired by the Disney villains (found at Tokyo Disneyland). Outside of the parks, the Tokyo Disney Monorail will have Halloween themed tickets for guests that purchase day passes.

Last but not least, from September 16 through 30, and from October 16 through 31, guests can enter Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea dressed in full character costumes. I’m only half joking when I say that this might be the best reason to attend Tokyo Disney’s Halloween festivities. The people watching will be elite!
