Tokyo DisneySea’s latest port, Fantasy Springs, has only been open for a few days but there are certain tricks and tip to experiencing and enjoying the area. After enjoying a few days in the port, we wanted to share a few different ways to make your trip better. In this post, we’ll offer up 16 tips on how best to experience Fantasy Springs.
Keep in mind that this post is written in the same week of the port-of-call opening. There’s no doubt that the processes to enter, experience and enjoy the land will change in the coming months. Some of these tips will apply for years down the road while others are very of the moment. As always, if you have a question then let us know in the comments.
We’re still exploring Fantasy Springs too! I guess that’s the reason this is 16 tips and not 27? We just got our license and are ready to roll like we own the road, but there’s plenty more to find out. That analogy is not the reason why I went with 16 tips. It’s not a good enough analogy to claim that.
Like most theme park lands, Fantasy Springs will evolve in the future. We’re excited about that and will try to stay current in this post. We might even add some tips over the years as we learn more. But you didn’t come here to read my ramblings on the future, you came here for the tips! Let’s get to it.
1. If you’re experiencing Fantasy Springs via standby pass, there are more time windows released throughout the day after the initial morning rush. Typically, times have been mostly released at the 30 minute mark of every hour. Even if you don’t get what you want at the start of the day, keep looking! This goes for mobile order at the restaurants too, although you can’t have a mobile order without a valid Fantasy Springs ride reservation.
2. Speaking of the start of the day, getting to DisneySea earlier is beneficial. The standby and Premier Access windows haven’t been selling out immediately but usually within half an hour of the gates. We’ve been arriving around 7:30 and that has been sufficient, as the park has been opening close to 8:15.
3. One last tip on the standby and Premier Access bookings – book all throughout the day. The initial information was confusing and didn’t explain that you can re-enter Fantasy Springs if you get an additional standby or Premier Access pass. As long as you don’t mind walking back to the new port whenever you obtain a pass, then you can go back with a new timed entry multiple times.
4. Getting closer to the land will not help you get a standby or Premier Access pass. This seems like common sense and if you’re reading this then you probably already know, but we’ve seen hundreds of people go back to the Fantasy Springs entrance without a way to get in. If you don’t have those passes it’s all for not, and the port is a long way from the entrance. Go do something else while trying to nab an entrance window!
5. If you’re trying to decide on a booking strategy for standby or Disney Premier Access our order of ride preferences are: Anna & Elsa’s Frozen Journey, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival and then Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. There’s a big drop off between 3 and 4 on that list! On the restaurant side of things, Royal Banquet Hall of Arendelle was easily our favorite but also the most expensive.
6. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure splits into 3 lines in the loading zone. The line on the left skips the majority of the first scene so we recommend going to either the middle lane or right lane.
7. For those on the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package, you have an unlimited drink ticket. Despite the restaurants in the new port needing a mobile order to enter, Cast Members will let you in to get a drink if you show them the ticket! This is a good way to see all of the restaurants without having to eat at all of them. It’s also a good way to try all of the specialty drinks in the land.
8. After all of those drinks, you may need a restroom! Aside from the counter-service restaurants, there are 2 restrooms in Fantasy Springs. One is right inside the land’s entrance, on the left as you’re heading in. That’s the biggest one. The other is inside of Arendelle’s little village. Bonus points to that one because it’s right beside a cool fish drinking fountain!
9. Another thing on the restaurants. Both the Snuggly Duckling and Royal Banquet of Arendelle are expansive. If you don’t find seating at first, keep walking and there will be some. The Frozen restaurant is especially big and the further we went back, the more we liked it!
10. The clock on the Arendelle bridge chimes a song at the top of each hour. Standing near the clock, with the archway framing the banquet hall, is one of the most picturesque settings in Fantasy Springs. It’s just a bonus that you get a little song with it!
11. For the Merchandise Lovers, there is only one store in Fantasy Springs: Fantasy Springs Gifts, which is near the hotel. You can only enter the store once per day. But, the merchandise in that store can also be found in Emporio right by the DisneySea park exit.
12. Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is an enjoyable kiddie ride. We like it much better at night when the flowers in Pixie Hollow are all lit up. Please say hi to Cheese for me, regardless of the time of day.
13. Prime riding spots for each ride are as follows:
- Anna & Elsa’s Frozen Journey – Front row. This is the one attraction I’d recommend asking for the front row, especially if you’re only riding once.
- Peter Pan’s Never Land – anywhere aside from the far left of each row.
- Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival – The left side of the boat.
- Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies – That title is so hard to write out. Front row is best but there’s only 4 seats in the ride vehicle so they’re all pretty good.
14. If you have the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package and are ending your night in the new port-of-call, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure seems to stay open later than other attractions. They haven’t been capping the line at that attraction as much so you can keep repeating rides all of the way until 9 PM. In our house, we call this the ‘Melissa Special’ as she rode the attraction 4 times in a row during the last 40 minutes of the day.
15. The details in Fantasy Springs are numerous (a different post on this soon) but since we’re already talking about the Frozen section… In the town portion of Arendelle, guests can look through the windows and see the belongings of whatever shop they’re looking at. It’s a nice visual trick that you can’t see unless you’re really close to the window.
16. Fantasy Springs holds 4 rides, 3 restaurants, a snack stand (we really liked what Oaken offered!) and a gift shop, as we’ve covered. Save some time for just walking around too. The whole area is picturesque and the beautiful statues and springs and the entrance to the port and by the hotel are well worth looking at. The detailing and colors are so intricately beautiful that they’re an attraction in their own right.

4 new rides is not a lot. See what is happening at Disneyland with Disneyland Forward…maybe up to 10 new rides there. What do you think?
4 rides is a lot for one land was more my point, especially 4 rides of that quality.
As for Disneyland, I’m really hopeful that the new rides all come to fruition. I think they’ll be spread out over the course of the next decade and should really improve the resort, especially DCA, moving forward.
Hi Andrew, so great to know they are allowing multiple entries, I hope this continues to be true while we are still there! Yes, we will have one day in each park. I was hoping to get a vacation package, but as we made a last minute decision to stop over in Tokyo, everything is already sold out. I’ll be using your 1-day itinerary while I’m there! There’s one more thing I’m confused about: what is the difference between a 40th Anniversary Priority Pass and a Standby Pass? Can you hold all 3 concurrently (Premier, Priority, Standby) and are they offering 40th Anniversary Priority Passes for attractions in Fantasy Springs?
If you’re still interested in the vacation packages, they do pop up every now and then if someone cancels or they add availability. I’m not sure that they are necessary though.
Good question! Priority Pass is just free FastPass while Standby Pass is essentially a virtual queue. You can hold all of them at once. Here’s our guide for Priority Pass – https://wanderingindisney.com/2024/03/28/using-priority-pass-at-tokyo-disneysea/
Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help!
Thank you so much for these tips! I just wanted to clarify one thing: you mention that you CAN re-enter Fantasy Springs, if you’re able to get another Premier Access/Standby Pass. I’m confused because the Tokyo Disney website says you can’t re-enter after leaving the area, even if you have an unused PA/Standby pass. Wouldn’t the ability to do this undermine the point of getting the one-day Fantasy Springs passport or vacation package? I’m asking because we will be visiting in about a month, and will not have either option (FS passport/vacation package) while there. Thank you again!
Hi Evelyn! Great questions because I’ve written about them and am still confused about the policy haha. As of a week ago, they were letting people in twice if you had two different entries. Am I still a little weary of advising people to do this? Yes, because it is in contrast to what the policy says. But they have been allowing multiple entries.
It definitely undermines the vacation package, although it is difficult to book certain rides twice (or even once if you aren’t there early). Do you only have 1 day at DisneySea?
Hi Andrew, Great to know that they are allowing admission as long as we are able to get an additional premier access/standby pass to Fantasy Springs! I hope that continues to be the case during our trip. Yes, unfortunately we have only 1 day in each park, as we made a last minute decision to stop over in Tokyo recently, and by now all vacation packages have sold out. I had another question about 40th Anniversary Priority Pass and Standby Passes – are they offering the former for attractions in Fantasy Springs? And can you have all 3 types (Premier Access, Priority Pass and Standby Pass) concurrently?
