Avengers Tower Transforms the Skyline of Hong Kong Disneyland

This new Avengers pavilion under construction will soon be the home to Avengers Research Testing Labs at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, you’ll be able to step into a tower experience unlike any story you’ve seen before.

Here, Stark Industries and other brilliants minds like Peter Parker (a.k.a Spider-Man) works at Avengers Research Testing Labs. However, whenever you have powerful new tech, you’re bound to draw the interest of some evil forces, which is exactly where this adventure really starts to take off.

Using 120+ feet of storytelling tech, you’ll travel across realms like Wakanda, Asgard, and more, caught in the middle of the action alongside Spider-Man and your other favorite Super Heroes.

Nearby, a brand-new Quinjet landing platform will also be a great place to encounter heroes throughout your visit. Construction is well underwayand once it goes vertical, it will truly make a statement on the towering skyline of Tomorrowland and beyond in Hong Kong.

Commentary

I’m going to keep this short since we haven’t been to Hong Kong Disneyland yet. We’ll be there in October and I’m excited to get a better feel for how this will fit into the castle park.

Between the ride updates and the small model showcased in the Imagineering Pavilion, this Marvel expansion was Hong Kong’s lone parks presence at D23 Expo this year. Yes, Hong Kong was mentioned in a few smaller presentations but there was no other news detailing the resort.

This Avengers drop ride was announced a few years ago and will heavily feature Spider-Man. The parks showcase brought up the 120+ feet of storytelling tech and I have no idea what it means either time. It was mentioned as ‘drop space’ in the presentation so maybe the ride vehicle can fall 120 feet?

I expect this ride to end up being a Mission: BREAKOUT! style ride except with the Avengers instead of the Guardians. The tower looks more futuristic and congruent with the land than Avengers Campus in California Adventure or Disney Adventure World but that’s based on concept art. I’m really interested if that will continue to be the case once it’s built.

I noticed the model in the Horizons Imagineering Pavilion included plenty of greenery and that would be a nice surprise. The Quinjet looks picturesque and a good way to include meet & greets for any superheroes that are out.

I can’t say this expansion will inspire me to book a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland for the opening but I like the style of it more than I like other Avengers Campuses. Having the Stark Expo already there sets up a slightly different style of architecture. On top of that, the ride looks like an interesting time albeit a little overstuffed. We’re excited to check it out in the future!
