New Tokyo Disney Resort Package Offers Unlimited Skip the Line Pass

Just a few short weeks after their Fantasy Springs Vacation Package debuted and was impressively efficient, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a new vacation package that looks to be even more enjoyable. Along with this new package, they’ve extended the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package offer. In this post, we’ll break down the details on this new offering and add commentary on whether we thing it’s worth your money.

The new Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package is titled Fantasy Springs: Enjoy Attractions Even More – 3 DAYS. Look, I didn’t say it had a great name! Anyway, here’s how the official website describes this package:

“With this plan, you can maximize your time at Tokyo Disney Resort and experience eligible attractions as many times as you like during your stay, with a reduced wait time.

Furthermore, this added flexibility allows you to enjoy the attractions of your choice at your own pace, giving you more opportunities to try new things, discover hidden park gems, and have a diverse range of experiences. You can elevate your two-day trip even further by personalizing your itinerary through advance restaurant bookings and more.

This plan is an ideal choice, even for those who have experienced a Vacation Package plan before.

– Bookings for this plan are accepted starting from one person.
– The 1-Day Passport: Fantasy Springs Magic allows entry to Tokyo DisneySea, and admission to Fantasy Springs and its attractions.”

That doesn’t sound half bad! In fact, the package takes what I wrote about the Fantasy Springs specific package being an exceptional offering but then broadens it. The issue with that specific package is it was niche; it fit those that have been to DisneySea before and mainly wanted to spend the day in the new expansion. Now, it fits those that want to experience everything in a quick and efficient way. Let’s break it down a little further.

The vacation package includes 2 park tickets, 1 day each at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea. When inside of the park guests will be able to use the premier/priority/FastPass (whichever you want to call it) line to skip most of the queue and get on the ride quickly. These are the attractions where that is applicable, split by parks:

Tokyo Disneyland

  • Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast
  • The Happy Ride with Baymax
  • Splash Mountain
  • Big Thunder Mountain
  • Pooh’s Hunny Hunt
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Star Tours: The Adventures Continue
  • Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!

Tokyo DisneySea

  • Soaring: Fantastic Flight
  • Toy Story Mania!
  • Tower of Terror
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • Turtle Talk
  • Nemo & Friends SeaRider
  • Indiana Jones(R) Adventure:Temple of the Crystal Skull
  • Raging Spirits
  • The Magic Lamp Theater
  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

This also includes a 1-day Fantasy Springs Passport, which will get you into the new expansion with unlimited entry and bypassing the attraction lines as many times as you want to.

Essentially, all of the heavy hitters are included here. The amount you could do in one day with this vacation package will be unmatched. There’s no doubting that! This package also includes an unlimited drink ticket for the days inside of the park. While that’s a bit of a throw-in, it also amounts to a decent chunk of change. The ticket includes most specialty drinks as well as coffee, soft drinks and the coveted Apple Tea Soda where available. Shout out to the incredible TDR Explorer!

Like the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package (and all of the others that TDR offers), this also includes:

– Original Souvenir Popcorn Case Voucher x 1 (per guest room)
– Original Goods Voucher x 1
– Shoulder Bag Voucher x 1

I wouldn’t call any of the above incredible, but they add a little value to any vacation package. We use our tote bag and enjoy the popcorn that came with the soft shell case.

Guests will also be paying for a stay at one of five hotels – Fantasy Springs Hotel, Hotel MiraCosta, Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, Disney Ambassador Hotel or Toy Story Hotel. Those are ordered from most expensive to least, generally. Guests will spend two nights at the hotel, with check-out day being the day that doesn’t include a park ticket in the package. You can surely add a park day and have the hotel hold your bags for the day. But that third day is not included and guests will have to purchase a ticket separately.

Last but not least, unless you don’t care about breakfast, is that there will be a breakfast buffet included in both mornings at the hotel. This also isn’t nothing in terms of value but there’s no opting out of it. For several hotels, this will mean dining at the same place both mornings. Like most things in the plan, each person staying in the room will have a voucher for this.

Prices have not yet been released for the package. It goes on sale in Tokyo on July 2nd at 3 PM. That means 2 AM east coast time and 11 PM on the 1st west coast time. The dates for the package are November 1st through December 27th. The prices start at $800/person.

Commentary

Typically, I don’t budge for vacation packages like this. We booked and enjoyed the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package largely because we wanted to make sure that we got to experience and review as much as we could. Outside of that experience, Melissa and I have never done one before and wouldn’t rush to do one again. Not because we didn’t have fun (we had a blast!) but because they are so expensive and don’t offer everything we’re looking for. This new package is the exact opposite.

The amount a guest could do in a day with the ‘Enjoy Attractions Even More’ package is absurd. It fits those that are doing a once in a lifetime trip to the parks so well. Of the eight attractions where guests can skip the line at Tokyo Disneyland, six are in our top ten attractions at that park. You’d have so much time to experience everything else, or ride those same rides multiple times.

Over at DisneySea, it’s an even better offer. Including the Fantasy Springs attractions, there are 14 attractions where you can skip most of the line. That’s over half of the attractions in the park! 9 of our top 13 attractions are in that group and the 4 that aren’t included don’t ever have a line anyway. And you’ll be able to experience them all as much as you want.

Frankly, this is the single best way to get everything done in 2 days at the resort. I’m blown away that they’re even offering this as a vacation package. Everything else that is included in the package is just gravy.

But the price is a boogeyman waiting for us. I have no idea if this will be so outlandishly priced that I couldn’t recommend it. My gut reaction is that this will offer a good value to Americans no matter what because of the current exchange rate. We won’t know for sure until these packages go on sale. Until then, this is all conjecture.

I ended up saying that the Fantasy Springs Vacation Package wasn’t a surefire hit because of the niche group it appealed to. Getting to experience all of DisneySea is the goal and that package skips over that in favor of Fantasy Springs. If it’s your first time there then that’s a no-go.

This new package, which is only offered for November and December, takes away those trepidations. Sure, you might be rushing around to get everything done and get your money’s worth. That’s not how DisneySea is best experienced. But it will lead you to riding all of the attractions each has to offer! That makes it pretty intriguing to a tourist who only has two days to spare, regardless of the price.
