Every few weeks our writers get together and answer a Disney related question.  Here is this week’s edition.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Should there be more of less of Indiana Jones in the parks? Why or why not?

Leslie – More, more, more! I don’t think we have enough of this icon and I hope Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar is just showing us the tip of the iceberg. I loved the Indiana Jones show, the ride, the second in the Great Movie Ride (May it Rest In Peace), and anything related to Indiana Jones. It’s iconic, fun, and family friendly. I just hope we can start to see more of it in the future.

Mackenzie – MORE!!!! Because Indiana Jones is awesome! It is a great movie franchise and ride!

Darin – I’m going to break the rules and just ask for the same amount of Indiana Jones in the parks. I really think there is just enough souvenirs when I’ve gone. And around the park it is never too much because it’s not fully Disney, but the amount it’s around is great especially the ride. If I do have to answer one I’d say more because the ride has been closed the last two times I went.

Melissa – Honestly, I’m leaning towards what Darin is saying. I currently think there is the perfect amount of Indy in the parks. Now, I will say if they ever get rid of the show in Hollywood Studios, they would have to add more. I also think the newest addition of Jock Lindsey’s Hanger Bar is great! I’d be okay with more being added, but I don’t think it’s necessary. If they do add more, I hope it’s more along the lines of Jock Lindsey’s where it is a more subtle nod to The Indiana Jones franchise.

Cassie – I think a little more couldn’t hurt! Maybe a Indiana Themed restaurant nearby or another ride devoted to it. I think Adventureland is already too packed to begin with though, would need to expand out to make this happen.

Andrew – I’m generally against more of the same. I don’t love a whole bunch of the same IP in a park but I think having a little more Indy wouldn’t hurt. The franchise is different because Indiana Jones can fit in many different types of environments. I was impressed at how organic Indiana Jones was fit into the Lost River Delta land in DisneySea. While I wouldn’t want much more of the franchise, I think it could fit in a few areas pretty well.
