When you first walk onto Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom, on your far right, you will find a charming replica of Tony’s restaurant where the famous spaghetti and meatball scene took place in Lady & the Tramp. My husband and I had dinner here on one of the nights of our honeymoon trip and enjoyed a beautiful “Bella notte”.

When you are waiting to be seated, they show Lady and the Tramp on a vintage television which I thought was a unique touch. Once you enter the dining room, you are greeted with the same Italian charm portrayed in the movie. Also, there are various tributes to Lady and the Tramp throughout the restaurant including a fountain of them at the centerpiece of the restaurant.

When we visited Tony’s I decided to go with the classic Spaghetti and meatballs (when in Rome, right?) I was satisfied with the dish, however I personally was expecting a more flavorful sauce. Considering the restaurants focus is Italian food, I guess I had a little higher expectations for a classic Italian dish.

My husband had the chicken parmigiana and really enjoyed it. For dessert, we were giving complimentary ice cream sundaes since we were on our honeymoon, they also decorated our table since it was a special occasion. As a side note, almost all of the sit down restaurants will give you an extra something when you are celebrating a special occasion, so make sure to tell them that when you make your reservation.

Overall, I would give Tony’s Town Square restaurant a 7/10. The atmosphere is enjoyable, especially since it is themed after a classic Disney movie. The food was pleasant but could use a little sprucing up to make the dishes a little more authentic to the Italian taste. I also like that there are seating options both inside and outside, especially since you are right on Mainstreet. For a quaint sit down meal, this a good place to stop.
