Hello, Wanderers! We interrupt the usual reviews, theme park strategy, attraction rankings, and weird stuff to bring you a website update. In case we don’t say it enough already, we are so grateful that you come to this website and read what we have to say about all things Disney Parks related. Melissa and I have been blown away, especially in the last year, at the support we’ve received. Having Wandering in Disney go from a hobby to a side gig to a full-time job has been one of the great joys in my life.

I’m not setting you up for bad news with that first paragraph, we really want to say thank you. Over the last few months, we’ve been brainstorming about new ways to reach loyal readers. Along with writing posts and maintaining the site, it has felt like there’s room for a few more ways to connect, share theme park related information, and make this website (and anything connected to it) a little more personal. Not that we’re especially interesting or anything, I promise this isn’t me setting up an announcement of how I’m going to start writing about all of the movies I watch or breaking down the Seattle Mariners losing another baseball game. We didn’t think (most of) you would probably want that. We do have a few ideas though…
Most notably, we’re announcing a newsletter! I’ll be writing updates on where we’re traveling to, any stray thoughts about the theme parks, sharing some posts that I’ve been most proud of in the previous weeks, giving you a little “inside baseball” of what it’s like to run the website, and a few other little extras! Newsletters will come out every other week, give or take a few days, starting next week. You can sign up below!
As many of you already know, you can also subscribe to the website. If you’ve already done that, then no need to add your email to the newsletter sign up. You’ll continue to be notified every time there’s a new post, as well as receiving the newsletter.
Frankly, we probably should have been doing this a long time ago. The everchanging internet has made it more of an emphasis lately, as we’d like to communicate directly with people instead of going through search engines and all of that jazz. Being a niche blog, we don’t like AI and have heard from readers who feel the same. Adding a newsletter is hopefully a step toward us giving you more personalized content that’s a little less formal than a review of Old Key West or figuring out the best strategy for Early Entry. Those posts aren’t going anywhere, the main focus will still be on the website and doing what we’ve always done but we hope you all enjoy a newsletter coming to your email!
Along those same lines, we’re very excited to announce the return of the Wandering in Disney Podcast! Not to leave you void of details like you’re Tomorrowland at Disneyland, but we’re still working through exactly what the show is going to look like. The podcast will be (re)started by the end of 2026!

For those that have followed along in the past, I did love the interview format that we had for a few shows. The reality of it is that booking a new person to talk to every week just wasn’t feasible. I’m hopeful that we’ll still be able to do some interviews along the way.
What we can share is that around half of the episodes will be based on what this site is best known for – ranking things! If you have ideas about the show or things you’d like to hear, we’re all ears. We’re excited to bring the show back and, yes, we do plan to put it on YouTube for those people that like to watch podcasts. I only write that with a tiny bit of judgement 😉
As a little bit of housekeeping, we are excited to announce a new ticket partner on the website – Get Away Today! We’ve been slowly changing out our links and are thrilled to be working with them. Everyone I’ve talked to there has been very kind and helpful both in setting up our partnership and in sharing about their company.
We also have a new way you can contact us. Along with the old email (wanderingindisney@gmail.com) we have one connected directly to the site now. You can email us at andrew@wanderingindisney.com. We’ll monitor both for a while but eventually will move to just the website one.
Alright, that’s enough talking about myself (and ourselves) for one post. It’s strange to tell people that they’ll soon have more ways to hear me ramble, make bad jokes, and witness a level of awkwardness that only a white guy in his mid-30’s talking about theme parks can possess. But, I’m excited and thankful to do just that! I’ll try to cut down on the awkwardness but no promises.
