Tokyo Disney Resort has announced the dates and details for their 2026 Halloween and Autumn festivities. The event spans both theme parks as well as the hotels, monorail and Ikspiari. In this post, we’ll share everything you can expect to see at TDR come spooky season!

For those used to the American parks, Tokyo Disney Resort’s aren’t as extravagant for Halloween. There’s still plenty to do, as you’re about to see, but there are not hard ticket parties and the decor is toned down some. Still, we really enjoy Halloween at these parks! One of our favorite times to visit Japan is at the end of October and into November, starting the trip with a few days in the parks for Halloween and then ending the trip with Christmas in the parks. We fill the middle in with Tokyo, Kyoto and plenty of other spots throughout the country!

Anyway, that’s probably more information about our travel plans and less about Tokyo Disney Resort’s Halloween plans than you bargained for so let’s get to it! Here’s all of the info about 2026 Autumn and Halloween at TDR.

The special event Disney Halloween will be presented at Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park from September 16 through October 31. “Lazos de la Familia,” a special event inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco, will return this year with additional offerings for guests to enjoy, presented at Tokyo DisneySea from September 16 through November 2.

Tokyo Disneyland

The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy”

Presented again this year at Tokyo Disneyland will be “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy’,” an exhilarating parade themed to a Halloween party organized by the Villains. Dr. Facilier, the villain from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film The Princess and the Frog, together with dancers will be welcoming everyone from the front of the parade.

When the floats make a stop and the party officially starts, the Villains kick it off with a welcoming performance. Guests then join Mickey Mouse and Disney friends in an energetic dance to the music. As the excitement builds up, powerful flames and smoke erupt from the float toward the sky, enveloping the party in an electrifying atmosphere as the party reaches its finale.

The parade runs once per day and is very popular, especially the closer you get to Halloween. There are 6 floats in total, along with characters and street performers in between. While not as elaborate as Tokyo Disneyland’s regular parades (which will still be running), this is worth taking a few minutes to watch!

Haunted Mansion Holiday

From September 15, 2026 through January 7, 2027, the Fantasyland attraction Haunted Mansion will undergo a seasonal transformation and become Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” based on Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas film. This is, more or less, the same overlay that is seen at Disneyland. It’s very well done and worth doing!

Decorations

The park entrance will feature a Halloween-themed Mickey Flower Bed, and Main Street at World Bazaar will feature a pumpkin photo spot again this year. Decorations depicting ghosts, inspired by the Disney Villains, enjoying the parks during Halloween will be displayed around Cinderella Castle, along with decorations of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in outfits themed to “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy’.” Toontown will feature Halloween decorations with pumpkin and ghost designs that fit the atmosphere of the park, along with new photo spots for guests to enjoy.

The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour

As previously announced, Tokyo Disneyland will be debuting a new stage show during this season! “The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour,” a stage show featuring a performance and live vocals by a group of all-star vocalists and dancers known as “The D-Groovationz4,” will premiere on September 30, 2026.

Together with Micky and other Disney friends, The DGroovationz4 will wow audiences in this exciting new show filled with original songs and fresh takes on Disney classics.

Tokyo DisneySea

Disney Halloween Greeting

Taking place at Mediterranean Harbor in Tokyo DisneySea will be “Disney Halloween Greeting.” Here, Mickey and Disney friends dressed in their Halloween best, appear on a boat carrying a large pumpkin as they enjoy a fun and lively Halloween party. Guests can also join the fun with a trick-or-treat-themed dance.

This harbor show takes place twice each day. We don’t recommend devoting much time to this, as it’s crowded and mainly just a boat with characters passing by. The Halloween Greeting is fun to catch if you’re in the area but we don’t recommend camping out for a spot regardless of how big of a Duffy fan you are.

Decorations

Halloween decorations will welcome guests at Tokyo DisneySea, filled with a celebratory atmosphere during the Tokyo DisneySea 25th “Sparkling Jubilee” event period. The park entrance will feature new pumpkin decorations. Palazzo Canals at Mediterranean Harbor will feature a mural depicting Mickey and Minnie in outfits themed to the area. In the New York area of American Waterfront, decorations featuring pumpkins will set the stage for a frightfully fun experience

Lazos de la Familia

Lazos de la Familia, based on Disney & Pixar’s Coco, will be presented at Tokyo DisneySea from September 16 through November 2. Guests can enjoy Coco even more this autumn as this special event expands from the previous year to cover a wider area.

During this period, Lost River Delta will become a bright and lively world decorated with motifs of Día de los Muertos (Spanish for “Day of the Dead”), a holiday celebrated in Mexico and other countries that the film is deeply rooted in. Decorations of marigolds, flowers believed to guide spirits, will adorn the railings and deck of Puente del Rio Perdido. When night falls, the bridge will light up — offering guests the experience of crossing the shining marigold bridge like in the film.

A cheerful family, who has passed on the tradition of mariachi music for generations, will appear in various locations to give spirited mariachi and dance performances in the atmosphere entertainment, “Mariachi Lazos de la Familia.”

Additionally, guests can enjoy a character greeting with Miguel. During the day, guests will see Miguel in his Land of the Living look. Later, in the afternoon, Miguel will change into his Land of the Dead look.

At Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina, a spicy tortilla-wrapped cheese dog will make its debut. At Yucatan Base Camp Grill, the Pan de Muerto (with Orange), with refreshing orange peels folded in, will be offered again this year. Merchandise themed after Coco will also be available at both parks, including inside Miguel’s El Dorado Cantina.

Night High Halloween

Night skies at both parks will light up with spellbinding displays of fireworks as Halloween music plays. This is another thing to catch in passing, as the show isn’t very elaborate but will be hard to miss if you’re in one of the theme parks!

Costumes

Guests are welcome to visit Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea while dressed in full character costumes during two periods: from September 15 through September 30, and from October 16 through October 31.

Merchandise

Merchandise this year will feature designs of Mickey and his friends in their pajamas being drawn to the mysterious parks after hearing ghosts playing music there. The lineup will also include designs of a slightly timid ghost with its comforting pumpkin lantern friend. These items will be available for purchase starting September 15.

Additionally, at Tokyo Disneyland, items such as hair scrunchies with motifs of the Disney Villains from “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy’” will go on sale.

Specialty Menus

Starting September 15, the parks will offer a variety of special menus inspired by the Disney Villains. Guests at Tokyo Disneyland can visit Refreshment Corner for spooky purple hot dogs and Sweetheart Cafe for hearty special sandwiches. There will also be an array of graband-go foods for guests to snack on while exploring the park.

At Tokyo DisneySea, Lookout Cookout will offer Halloween-themed snack boxes as a new menu item. Guests can also expect the return of special drinks at both parks, created in the image of Ursula and Captain Hook from the Disney Animation films, The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan. The signature Halloween churro (maple-pumpkin) will also be available at various shops.

Duffy and Friends’ Autumn Surprise!

At Tokyo DisneySea, the Duffy and Friends’ Autumn Surprise! program will be presented from August 25 to November 1. The program will be themed to a story where Duffy and his friends reveal what they have prepared to surprise one another at a fun Halloween get together.

In the story, Gelatoni paints the autumn sunset with sparkling paints, StellaLou performs a dance transforming into autumn flowers, and CookieAnn creates surprising fizzing candy. Then, Duffy accidentally drops a box filled with fallen leaves and origami, which colorfully burst out to fill the room with autumn ambience. Special merchandise and souvenir items will be available that depict this heartwarming and surprisepacked story that takes place during a pleasant windy autumn in Cape Cod.

Tokyo Disney Resort Hotels

From September 15 through October 31, restaurants at Disney Ambassador® Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel will offer special menus themed to Disney Halloween. Guests can look forward to the flavors of autumn offerings in dishes that evoke the spooky and fun “Disney Halloween” spirit. Select dishes at Disney Ambassador Hotel will come with exclusive charms and coasters.

Additionally, at Silk Road Garden (Chinese cuisine) in Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, special menu items themed to the Duffy and Friends’Autumn Surprise! program will be offered from August 25 through November 1. Enjoy the special moments of this season brought by the Disney hotels.

Tokyo Disney Monorail

Disney Halloween-themed day passes for the Disney Resort Line monorail trains will be available at ticket machines in the Disney Resort Line stations. Guests can also collect souvenir medallions with designs exclusive to the Disney Resort Line.

Ikspiari

Ikspiari, the shopping, dining and entertainment complex by Maihama Station, will be decorated for Halloween again this year. Cinema Ikspiari will also show re-releases of Disney movies, including Disney & Pixar’s Coco, for a limited period. For Cinema Ikspiari’s screening schedule, please visit the following website.
