Agrabah Cafe Restaurant Review

Agrabah Cafe is a table-service restaurant in Disneyland Paris. Sitting in Adventureland, this buffet serves Middle Eastern food inside of a beautiful building. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, although it typically closes around 6 PM like many other Disneyland Paris restaurants. In this post, we’ll review Agrabah Cafe’s atmosphere, cuisine and value.

One of the biggest talking points when it comes to visiting Disneyland Paris is how underwhelming the counter-service food is. After experiencing some of it, I can’t say I disagree. Leading into our trip, I kept that in my head and booked a table-service restaurant for each day. A few of the picks were easy (and we’ll review them soon) but we had one last open slot and opted for Agrabah Cafe.

I was drawn in by photos of the restaurant and I’m glad I was. This place is exceptionally beautiful! Walking into Agrabah Cafe is completely transportive. The different rooms in the restaurant take inspiration from beautiful Islamic architecture to bring the whole place to life. It’s a winding restaurant, similar in scale to what guests find in Tokyo DisneySea’s Arabian Coast while wandering the back alleys. There aren’t many restaurants with that design!

The reason for Agrabah Cafe’s interesting shape and design is because this used to be Adventureland Bazaar. The seating areas were once shops with plenty of nods to One Thousand and One Nights. Shortly after opening the bazaar, Aladdin was a smashing success in theaters so there are several references to the famed movie throughout.

Eventually, Agrabah Cafe took over Adventureland Bazaar and the transition is masterfully done. At least it seems like it is to me, someone who never experienced that Adventureland Bazaar. The restaurant took over the space in late 1999 and has been open (Disneyland Paris confounding restaurant hours notwithstanding) ever since.

Walking through the restaurant, the different texture and color pop out. Unified by that Middle Eastern design, the rooms all feel unique and beautifully ornate. There are still plenty of remnants of that bazaar design as Agrabah Cafe doesn’t shy away from that theme. Different signs hover above certain rooms and there is a maze quality to the whole place. I’m not saying that you’ll get lost after grabbing food from the buffet and trying to re-find your table, but I wouldn’t make too much fun of you if you did!

I would put Agrabah Cafe in the top ten for thematic restaurants in Disney theme parks. They don’t overdo the Aladdin nods and there is so much space to explore. I was blown away and view the area as DisneySea’s Arabian Coast meets the grandness of the Morocco Pavilion in Epcot.

Moving onto the food, the restaurant focuses on Middle Eastern dishes. I enjoyed this article on one of the places DLP is partnering with to bring food to Agrabah Cafe. The food being partially outsourced isn’t the worst idea given the resort’s less than sterling dining reputation. I know that there are certain restaurants in Walt Disney World that aren’t Disney owned but working with a caterer seems pretty unique.

While most of the offerings included a Middle Eastern flair, there were plenty of options for pickier eaters too. This was still a Disney theme park buffet, after all. The best dishes, at least in my opinion, were the more adventurous options. Most of the meat stayed away from getting too dry and vegetables were served in a variety of ways, which was a welcome addition.

My favorites included the cucumber salad, samosas, meatballs and chicken. There were a few different naan options so that guests could make their own gyros too. After looking through the menu before booking, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. I wouldn’t say anything was extraordinary but everything was prepared well and tasted good.

Moving onto desserts, the baklava and pistachio based desserts were the stars of the show. Both had delicious pastry and some nice depth. There was a good variety of options here too including a fruit salad! It’s not always easy to find fruit at Disney Parks unless you’re picking that over one of the more indulgent snacks and who wants to do that? I wouldn’t put the desserts up against the best Disney buffets I’ve been at but they were solid.

The current price for the buffet (as of late April 2025) is 45 Euros. That’s roughly $50 USD, for now. This isn’t a bad deal compared to most Disney buffets. In fact, it’s cheaper than most Disney World buffets. Granted, this meal isn’t character dining but does off a superior environment to all of those restaurants along with better food than most. All that to say, Agrabah Cafe is a decent value compared to most theme park buffets.

We came into our meal at Agrabah Cafe not quite knowing what to expect. By the end, we saw it as one of the best places to eat in Disneyland Paris. Now, that’s not quite as high praise as it sounds but we were very impressed by the atmosphere and thought the food measured up well enough. We’d recommend Agrabah Cafe to anyone and think it’s one of the best themed Disney restaurants in the world.
