San Fransokyo Square inches closer and closer to opening and with that, of course, comes food! The mini land will continue to take form over the course of the next month and with that will be new menu items. In this post, we’ll cover the upcoming dishes and add in a little bit of our own commentary! But first, the news.
The local San Fransokyo Square eateries will start to introduce delicious new menu offerings over the summer, starting with Lucky Fortune Cookery on July 19! In the weeks following, even more dining options will join the seaside plaza as the transformation continues through mid-August.
As you explore this exciting neighborhood, you’ll be met with the mouthwatering smells of can’t-miss treats from locations like Aunt Cass Café, Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería, and Rita’s Turbine Blenders. Each of these spots will feature diverse menus with items like the Shrimp Katsu Sandwich or Beef Birria Ramen, and even a Baymax Sipper! Commentary
I won’t spend many words trying to break down food that I haven’t tasted yet. That said, there’s a nice blend of current favorites at these restaurants with exciting new additions. Lucky Fortune Cookery especially showcases a few interesting items like the Birria Ramen and the different Udons.
Aunt Cass Café takes over for the Pacific Wharf Café and immediately has a more interesting menu. I’m eager to try the Shrimp Katsu Sandwich and the Beef Curry. Seeing that Boudin is still connected to the area is nice and I’m hopeful that the bakery tour survives all of the changes!
More than anything, we can celebrate that the QuesaBirria remains in the area as it’s one of the best counter-service options in all of Disneyland Resort right now. We’re looking forward to trying both new and old items here when it opens in a few weeks!
