Hello Wanderers, it’s been a while! Michaela dropped in with a few excellent posts last week but we’ve been a little bit MIA for the last month. First of all, my apologies for the lack of writing. We hope you are all doing well and staying safe during a tumultuous time.
Covid-19 has hit us all in both major and minor ways, altering nearly everyone’s daily life and making other things priorities. Obviously, there are far worse outcomes then that right now and I hope and pray that you and yours are healthy. My daily life has been affected but not as dramatically as some, I consider myself very lucky in that regard. Where it has changed is in the amount of writing I’ve been doing.
For whatever reason the motivation hasn’t been as high with so much else going on in life. While writing nearly every day in the previous months was incredibly rewarding, it has taken a backseat for the last month. There are a number of reasons for this but one of the biggest is that writing a review about the Ramen at Lucky Fortune Cookery, for example, seems so trivial.
I know people are looking for an escape from a cold reality right now but I haven’t felt like I could pour my usual passion into reviews that seem meaningless in the last month. Admittedly, some of that is just getting in my own head about what people want to read but it’s been hard to wrap my head around it for whatever reason. Honestly, I’m planning to work my way out of it but with reviews being a large source of content on this site, it’s meant that content has taken a big hit.
With that giant excuse out of the way, we do plan to get back to writing our usual amounts of content in the next few weeks. But to do that, we may need your help! As I said, writing reviews feels pretty hollow and not helpful to others at the moment. While we have plans for other posts, we’d also like to know what you want to read about during these strange weeks and months. If you have an idea for something you’d like to read about then please drop us a comment. It can be goofy, off-the-wall, or a serious question about the parks. We’d love to know what you’re thinking. Along with that, the Wandering in Disney Podcast will be making it’s triumphant (ha!) return in the next week and we’re all eager to talk some Disney.
Wandering in Disney was created in the hopes that it would help people have a better Disney vacation while being entertaining to readers. Over the last month, it’s been hard to figure out how that fits into what’s happening in the world, and even in my own life. But looking forward, we’re hoping to give you a respite from all that’s going on and hopefully a look into a beautiful tomorrow where we can all go back to some of our favorite places. Thank you for staying patient with our site and for all of those that keep reading what we put out.
What would you like to see us write about while the parks are closed? Please let us know in the comments below! If you enjoy what you’re reading please subscribe to the blog and like our social media pages which you can find on the right side of this page. Thank you for reading, we really appreciate it!

This might be a good time to talk about some of the secrets of the parks. I always enjoy learning about hidden places, or the meanings or stories about different areas in the parks.
