Happy 4th of July to you all!  I hope you have a fun safe holiday.

Every few weeks our writers get together and answer a Disney related question.  Here is this week’s question and answers:

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Do you have a typical outfit for a day in the Disney Parks? What do you usually bring with you/have in a backpack?

Leslie – For the most part it depends on the time of year. Prime time I prefer to go is Mid to Late February, therefore I typically have an outfit of shorts and a Disney t-shirt of some kind. Usually it is an outfit I don’t mind getting wet in case I want to go on a water ride and dry off throughout the day. If it is a day I plan on taking photos than my camera bag doubles as my purse, if not I typically use a lightweight cross body bag for necessities like medicine, a snack, and some pins to trade with Cast Members. I also like to bring a Brita Filter water bottle which I clip to my bag or a belt loop to fill up at either quick service restaurants, water fountains, or sometimes the bars. I also tend to either have ears or a fun Disney hat for fun pictures. This would be my typical outfit for park going.

Andrew – I’m pretty simple as far as what I wear. Shorts, T-shirt (or button up short sleeve shirt), tennis shoes, and a hat typically.

What I bring is far more complex. My large camera backpack with my Nikon, about 5 lenses, rain gear for my camera, ponchos for water rides and rain, sunscreen, chapstick, Advil, a sweatshirt for evening, and my tripod thrown in there. There’s a few other scraps thrown in but that’s mostly camera stuff. There’s probably too much in there but I use it all to some degree!

Melissa – For the most part I like to wear clothes that are light and easy to cool off /dry in. Most of the time this consists of shorts and some sort of Disney related tank top, but sometimes just a flowy top as well. I’ve also done a few Disney Bounds in the past; creating an outfit that resembles some of my favorite characters. I’m not one to go all out, but I like to be subtle about it and it makes me happy!

As for the bag…typically my awesome husband just carries my wallet in the above mentioned camera bag. I have also been known to throw in a pair of pants and sweater for cooler evenings. 🙂 oh, and sunglasses! Never forget your sunglasses!

Cassie – I live in yoga pants and tennis shoes at the parks. I think being comfortable is the most important thing. I typically get more creative with my T-shirt or sweatshirt and that will be the Disney themed part of my outfit. I will bring a small backpack every time and pack my camera and sunscreen and my wallet and sometimes snacks!
