The Disney Cruise Line revealed many new details, along with booking and maiden voyage dates, for their newest ship. The Disney Believe will set sail in late 2027 from Fort Lauderdale, offering 4 and 5 night cruises. In this post, we’ll share all of the details that were just released before adding our own commentary. Let’s get to the news!

Disney Cruise Line’s next addition to the fleet sets sail on its maiden voyage December 18, 2027 from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. General booking for the cruise will open up on October 19th, 2026.
There will be an array of new and exciting venues and experiences unique to this ship, as well as some returning favorites from DCL. Aboard the Disney Believe, Walt Disney’s legacy of curiosity and discovery will be front and center, bringing to life stories and characters who believe in themselves, in their dreams, and in the promise and possibility of a better tomorrow.

The Grand Hall Inspiration & Design
It had already been revealed that the Grand Hall aboard the Disney Believe will be inspired by Moana, now there’s even more details to share. The heart of the ship will be an architectural meeting of the sky and sea, with details inspired by the film and its Pacific Islands setting. From carpet adorned with ocean-hues to the ceiling scattered with constellations, and railings inspired by designs found within Moana’s skirt, the sea will most certainly call you to this central gathering place. Not to be missed will be the Grand Hall’s chandelier, which is modeled after the ocean’s fluid movement and has the heart of Te Fiti hidden within.

Snow White’s Wishing Well Lounge
Venture into the storybook world of Snow White at Wishing Well, a lounge inspired by the classic 1937 Disney Animation film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” Within this space you’ll find three distinct settings inspired by Walt Disney’s first full-length animated movie. The bar space will evoke the film’s gothic castle and will feature a beautiful stained glass art piece mimicking the castle windows. In the seating area, you will enter the enchanting castle courtyard under a canopy of white blossoms and red apples, with the colors of Snow White’s gown incorporated into the furnishings. Lastly, the performance area will feature hand-carved wood framing, paying homage to the Seven Dwarfs’ cottage.

Zootopia Themed Entertainment Hub
Get ready to “try everything” in the entertainment hub for the Disney Believe, Gazelle. This space, inspired by the bustling metropolis from Disney Animation’s “Zootopia” films, will be home to a variety of family fun for guests of all ages by day, and as the sun goes down, will host adult-exclusive entertainment. Also, for the first time on Disney Cruise Line, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from “Zootopia” will join in on the fun with a brand-new family show where you can put your detective skills to the test to help the dynamic duo solve their latest case.

Inside Out Sweet Treats
Those with a sweet tooth are in for a treat at Inside Out: Joyful Sweets. This returning favorite will feature sculptural additions from Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2,” including Anxiety, Envy, and the “Sense of Self” structure, alongside the movie’s beloved characters, Joy and Sadness. Drawing inspiration from the Emotions’ headquarters joy will fill your taste buds with a reimagined (and delicious) selection of treats, including nearly 20 flavors of gelato and ice cream, daily handcrafted gelato specials and a colorful lineup of signature sweets.

Dine with Oaken at a Frozen Family Feast
Get ready for a festive celebration for the entire family featuring a brand-new, untold chapter in the “Frozen” story at Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, a new restaurant coming to the Disney Believe. Nestled deep within a forest, you’ll discover Oaken and his cousins in a Scandinavian Summerhaus courtyard. Throughout your meal, you’ll be invited to join Oaken’s family for not only a feast, but also rousing, reimagined renditions of famous tunes from the popular “Frozen” soundtracks, along with special appearances from “Frozen” friends like Anna and Kristoff.

Little Mermaid Lounge
Just off the Grand Hall, your journey with the ocean continues, but this time under the sea at the iridescent piano lounge inspired by Ariel’s grotto – Sea Notes. A great name! This lounge blends contemporary design with the whimsical artistry from the beloved Disney Animation film, “The Little Mermaid.” With a pearlescent piano, one of Ariel’s forgotten treasures, at the center of the space, along with nods to both the film and the movie’s ocean setting, the piano lounge will be filled with nostalgic melodies and an expertly crafted menu of cocktails and non-alcoholic sips.

Observatory-themed Pub
Be prepared for time to stand still within Skygazers, an observatory-themed pub that will welcome dreamers and wish-makers alike to gather beneath the evening sky. Within this astronomer’s laboratory, you’ll find bookshelves filled with astronomical instruments, celestial maps, and hidden props and nods to classic Disney stories where the characters wished upon stars of their own. With a thematic menu of custom-made craft brews, specialty cocktails and light bites, this will be the perfect spot to watch live sports broadcasts or ponder your dreams. Live sports and pondering your dreams is a wild combo but sometimes they do intertwine.
Stateroom Style
Sweet dreams await on the Disney Believe! With all-new papercut-style artwork evoking classic Disney stories, the staterooms will spark imagination in rooms inspired by characters and stories like Moana, Coco, and Inside Out. If you are staying in concierge, you will enjoy either the whimsical world of Neverland with theming inspired by the Disney Animation classic Peter Pan, or, within several special oceanview rooms above the bridge, the playful spirit of Pixar’s Toy Story.
As with every Disney Cruise Line ship, the staterooms on the Disney Believe will be spacious, comfortable and functional, uniquely meeting the needs of families. All staterooms will feature ample storage, with most also having the signature split-bath concept, roomy closets and elevated bed frames with generous under-bed space. Most staterooms include a sweeping view of the ocean, with 70 percent including a spacious verandah and more than 450 connecting doors to accommodate larger families.
The ship will also be home to two new royal suites – the Royal Reef Suite themed after Disney Animation’s “The Little Mermaid” and the Royal Rose Suite, inspired by Disney Animation’s “Beauty and the Beast.” Each incorporates elegant designs with nods to both of these classic films scattered throughout.
And, exclusive to the Disney Believe, the Believe Tower Suite will be for the dreamers. This one-of-a-kind suite that sleeps eight draws inspiration from the timeless world of fantasy, promise and possibility that is Magic Kingdom Park, with each of its rooms modeled after the different themed lands. This two-story suite situated in the forward funnel will feature unique elements hinting at the cherished park, including fireworks- and balloon-inspired light fixtures and a magical art piece depicting Cinderella Castle.

Tangled: The Musical
The hit show from the Disney Magic, “Tangled: The Musical,” joins the Walt Disney Theatre lineup on the Disney Believe, with a reimagined set design and special effects. As you join Rapunzel and her friends on this thrilling journey, you’ll enjoy the beloved songs from the film brought to life right before your eyes.

Encanto Debuts!
The very first stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning Disney Animation film “Encanto” will debut exclusively on the Disney Believe in the Walt Disney Theatre. “Disney Encanto” will follow Mirabel on her quest to save her loved ones and their magical home. The diverse, tropical landscape and rich cultures of Colombia will shine through the production’s vibrant costuming, scenic set design and joyful fusion of traditional dance styles. And yes, we can finally talk about Bruno! Disney Legend Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hits from the film will be part of the show’s infectious soundtrack.
Moana and Big Hero 6 Coffee Shops
Coffee lovers will have two new hangouts coming to the Disney Believe with Big Hero Sips (another fantastic name) and Café Kakamora. Big Hero Sips will draw inspiration from San Fransokyo from Disney Animation’s “Big Hero 6,” while Café Kakamora will be inspired by the curious piratical coconut creatures from “Moana.” Each of these cafes will serve up a tasty selection of coffee, tea and specialty beverages to enjoy throughout your trip.
Returning Favorites to Believe In
In addition to all these exciting offerings, there are some Disney Cruise Line fan-favorites returning to the Disney Believe. For those who believe in the power of food, you’ll be pleased to learn that two family dining restaurants will be back, joining its sister ships within the Wish class – 1923 and Worlds of Marvel. For the foolish mortals, Haunted Mansion Parlor will also return, ready to serve up a brand-new selection of ghoulish delights for its thirsty visitors.
Within the Walt Disney Theatre, “Disney Seas the Adventure,” an original stage show for the Wish class, will dazzle audiences with performances featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters and iconic songs.
There will be so much for families to enjoy on the Disney Believe! Guests will be welcomed aboard starting December 18, 2027, with four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. General on-sale bookings are available starting October 19, 2026, so mark your calendars, believers!

Commentary
I’m out of my depth, some would say lost at sea, when it comes to offering much commentary on Disney Cruise Line. My experience is minimal so I can’t offer informed opinions like I’m able to with the parks. We should get that caveat out of the way. We’re looking forward to more cruises in the near future, including a few we currently have our eyes on!
With that said, all of the new announcements look exciting! The one that sticks out the most, to me anyway, is the addition of an Encanto stage show. This isn’t a surprise that it’s happening but it is definitely justified. Encanto is one of Disney Animation’s best movies in the modern era and the songs lend themselves to a stage show. I’m really looking forward to seeing this show come to life!
Moving to the dining and lounges, there appears to be a nice mix of relaxed and exuberant. The Snow White Lounge, Wishing Well, looks beautiful and like a great place to grab a drink and sit with friends or family. Stargazers has a great premise, and should be an excellent place for adults to hang out. Oaken’s Table looks like a lot of fun, as well.
Going all the way back to the Grand Hall, I really like the Moana artwork and details. These spaces are always gorgeous, and I’m sure this will be no exception. As a lover of light fixtures, I’m really looking forward to that chandelier.
All of the details revealed today are very promising! We’re looking forward to the Disney Believe setting sail in just over a year and will add more details as they’re revealed.
