Tokyo Disney Resort has announced a number of additions coming for the 2025 Christmas Season, which runs from November 11th through December 25th. A new parade, additional entertainment and decorations will be added all around the resort. In this post, we’ll share the details on Christmas at TDR, mixing in our commentary as we go. To the news!
Guests will be able to enjoy the special event Disney Christmas at Tokyo Disneyland Park and Tokyo DisneySea Park from November 11 through December 25. The Disney hotels, Disney Resort Line, and Ikspiari will also offer exciting programs themed to the holidays.
At Tokyo Disneyland, for the first time in 10 years, a new parade for the special event will be presented: “Toys Wondrous Christmas!” In this fun-filled and magical parade, toys fresh from Santa’s toy factory join Mickey Mouse and his friends to bring winter holiday cheer to all.

The parade begins with Santa Claus’ toy factory, where the toys are being made, and features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pete, as well as teddy bears dressed up for Christmas, toy vehicles, wooden blocks, and a nutcracker marching band.
With a little Christmas magic, the toys come to life for a unique and lively performance of music and dance, bringing heartwarming moments to the toys’ Christmas celebration. When everyone’s wishes come true and the guests are filled with smiles and happiness, the Disney friends, Santa Claus and the toys celebrate together, creating a truly magical and unforgettable Christmas.
We’re eager to see the new parade! I’ve never been shy about my praise for Tokyo Disneyland’s parades. The seasonal ones are a little less extravagant but still worth seeing. Having it feature Duffy & Friends is another plus.
Once again at Tokyo Disneyland this year, a special Christmas version of Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights will be presented. Guests can also watch the night sky light up to the backdrop of festive music with the spectacular fireworks of “Starbright Christmas.” These Dreamlights additions are minor but really enjoyable!
Over at Tokyo DisneySea, “Disney Christmas Greeting” will be presented on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor, with Mickey, Duffy, Santa Claus and other friends welcoming guests with Christmas-themed music and outfits.
Continuing from last year, three atmosphere entertainment programs will be presented at American Waterfront in Tokyo DisneySea. “Christmas Carolers” will treat guests to beautiful a cappella renditions of Christmas songs, “Holly Jolly Trio” will serenade guests to clarinet and accordion as they stroll around American Waterfront, and the lively
“Holiday Wonder Band” will get everyone in the holiday spirit with their cheerful musical performances.
At both World Bazaar in Tokyo Disneyland and at American Waterfront in Tokyo DisneySea, a beautifully decorated 15-meter Christmas tree will be set up, enhancing the holiday mood. Tokyo Disneyland will also feature special decorations themed to “Toys Wondrous Christmas!” in front of Cinderella Castle, and at Tokyo DisneySea, new Christmas tree illuminations at Mediterranean Harbor will add a festive and heartwarming glow to the evening.
In terms of attractions, Tokyo Disneyland features 2 overlays. From November 1, 2025 through January 12, 2026 in Tokyo Disneyland Country Bear Theater will feature the special Christmas version, “Jingle Bell Jamboree.” Guests can
enjoy a fun-filled revue as the Country Bear Band presents a selection of cheerful winter songs to ring in the Christmas season. Additionally, from September 16, 2025 through January 12, 2026, Haunted Mansion at Tokyo Disneyland will be transformed into the special Haunted Mansion “Holiday Nightmare” program.
Frankly, my love for the Country Bear Jingle Bell Jamboree is reason enough to buy a Tokyo Disneyland ticket. Just like the original attraction, the overlay is full of character and zany. I understand that others might not love it as much as me but I feel sorry for those people.
Special merchandise for Disney Christmas will be available at both parks starting November 10th. Items with designs of Mickey and his friends getting ready for Christmas at the park, and items ranging from sweaters, headbands, shoulder plushes and more featuring Li’l RingRing, a Christmas elf, dressed in soft colors will be offered. Exclusive to Tokyo Disneyland will be plush badges and other items featuring costumes with motifs of “Toys Wondrous Christmas!”
Special menus themed to Christmas will be available from November 1. At Tokyo Disneyland, Refreshment Corner and Grandma Sara’s Kitchen will be offering menus with a special Christmas flair, while Ice Cream Cones will be serving up a chocolate-loaded sundae featuring park favorites: popcorn and churros. At Tokyo DisneySea, Horizon Bay Restaurant and Cafe Portofino will offer a special set serving roast beef, grilled beef and more.
From November 1 through December 25, three restaurants at Disney Ambassador® Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta® and Tokyo Disneyland® Hotel will offer special menus themed to Disney Christmas. Additionally, from November 11, the Disney hotels will feature Christmas decorations and illuminations tailored to the theme of each hotel for a dazzling and festive atmosphere.
Disney Resort Line will feature monorail trains with a special design themed to Disney Christmas, and a stamp rally – a first for the Christmas season. Additionally, limited period day passes with a Disney Christmas design, as well as souvenir medallions with special Disney Resort Line designs will be available.
At Ikspiari, the shopping, dining and entertainment complex located near Maihama Station will have a fir Christmas tree at Celebration Plaza. Christmas trees, wreaths and festive illuminations will also adorn Ikspiari, while shops
and restaurants will offer items perfect for Christmas gifts and exclusive seasonal menus.
We love Christmas season at Tokyo Disney Resort. While not as elaborate as the stateside parks, there’s plenty of special additions that make the parks worthwhile. The Christmas parade at Tokyo Disneyland should be a welcome offering and one we’re eager to see. We highly recommend Tokyo Disney Resort at Christmas time.
