Disneyland has announced a new ticket offer available to all guests for the summer of 2025. The offer coincides with the start of the resort’s 70th anniversary and will likely be extremely popular due to this. In this post, we’ll share the details on the offer and our thoughts as to what this means for attendance, whether this summer is a good time to visit Disneyland and the in’s and out’s of this ticket deal. Now that we’ve waded through the details and been adequately scared by Disneyland’s warnings I’ll flip the other way and share that this is an unexpected and good deal! With the 70th Anniversary coming to Disneyland Resort, I didn’t think there would be much in the way of a ticket deal. I expect this summer at the parks to be far busier than the last few. That this deal is being offered might suggest otherwise.

With the good value in mind, I do recommend purchasing these tickets if you were already thinking about going this summer! The 70th anniversary entertainment lineup is really exciting and we can’t wait to experience it. Of course, there’s a chance some things flop but there’s already a few proven winners like Wondrous Journeys and Paint the Night in the mix. If you wanted to go but weren’t quite ready to push all in, this offer could be what gets you over the edge.

My word of warning is that reservations will be very hard to come by on certain days. May 16th and the following weekend will be extremely tough to get a spot for. The same goes for July 17th (the park’s real anniversary) and the days around then. All that to say, if there are certain dates you want then be on your toes, grab the deal as soon as it’s released on March 11th and lock in your reservations. If that happens, then you’ve got nothing to worry about.

Waiting until later in March or April could prove to be a little more difficult to snag reservations. I’m excited to see that the tickets will run for nearly 3 months. If you’re just a drive or short flight away, then doing multiple trips is feasible.

As for why this ticket deal is happening despite the excitement for the 70th anniversary, my guess is that this is to help combat the ‘Disney pricing out the middle class’ narrative that has been ongoing. Tom at Disney Tourist Blog has done an excellent job of covering that so I’d point you to his site to read more about that. In short, I think Disneyland has gotten aggressive with their offerings as of late to combat lagging demand and a lack of new attractions. The ticket offer plus the added entertainment is a bet on drawing more crowds this summer. They may have been a little slow to combat the lagging interest but I’m glad they’re trying something.

I’m excited to see a ticket deal so more people could have a chance to experience the 70th anniversary at Disneyland Resort. Like I said, if you have dates in mind, be ready to purchase tickets and reserve dates on March 11th.

  1. The nonconsecutive days and non-refundable aspects of the deal are a bummer, but I give them props for trying to make the prices somewhat more reasonable.
