Harbour Galley is a counter-service restaurant in Disneyland. Located in between New Orleans Square and Critter Country, Harbour Galley is easy to pass by if you don’t know what you’re looking for, as it’s a little shack along the water. The restaurant serves sandwiches and seafood and does accept a Magic Key (annual pass) and DVC discount. In this post, we’ll review Harbour Galley’s offerings as well as the atmosphere and value.

Rivers of America is one of the most beautiful places in all of Disneyland and that’s reason enough to spend some time there. The attractions and food there are unassuming but full of quality. There’s the Mark Twain Riverboat, a lovely steamboat that travels around the river. Davy Crocket Explorer Canoes are a vestige to the past and full of character. Hungry Bear Restaurant has some of the most beautiful views the park can offer. Harbour Galley embodies a little bit of all of these while also having delicious food.

The seating at Harbour Galley is small but a hidden treasure. While there has been construction in the area recently, generally the seating winds around the restaurant’s deck. There are small tables throughout and some reside right by the Sailing Ship Columbia, when it is docked. It’s one of the most interesting places to sit, as you can soak up the boat’s details from mere feet away.

Even if you’re not able to sit there, chances are that you’ll end up with a table with a water view. It’s a lovely place and certainly fits the theme of the restaurant, being a place for fishermen to stop and eat after a day on the river. There’s a statue of a fisherman in a rain jacket who looks a little down on his luck. That statue eases the transition into Critter Country’s ridiculously adorable statues.

Guests will order at a window, or mobile order, at this little shack. It’s a cute building and fits in with the Tom Sawyer Raft and Canoes a few feet from there. There’s not generally a big line for Harbour Galley as it genuinely feels like a hidden gem.

Moving on to the food! Here’s a look at the menu. It features a Lobster Roll, Tuna Salad Sandwich, Lobster Mac and Cheese in a Bread Bowl and soup in bread bowls.

There’s no sense in burying it any farther down the post, the Lobster Mac and Cheese in a Bread Bowl is one of the best counter-service meals in Disneyland. It’s not actually on the online menu but it is in the mobile order option. With a creamy cheese and delicious noodles, there’s a surprising amount of lobster with this. The bread bowl is also delicious, just in case you didn’t get enough carbs in! At only $12.99, this is one of the best values in the park as the meal is better than most of the table-service options I’ve had in Disneyland. Get this!

The Lobster Roll, which is Seasoned Lobster with Celery and Onions on a Buttered Roll topped with fresh Chives and served with Chips, was also good albeit not quite the value that the Mac and Cheese offers at $14.99. There’s a decent amount of Lobster inside of this too, and it’s also creamy and has a good amount of mayonnaise. If you’re looking for a cold entree on a hot day, this is a very good option to go with. The Buttered Roll is fresh and the Lobster is rich. This is another winner!

Finally here’s the Tuna Salad Sandwich which consists of Seasoned Albacore Tuna Salad on a Toasted Potato Bun with Lettuce and Tomato served with Chips. This is the cheapest option at Harbour Galley and is a pretty good value at $10.49. Tuna Salad can be hard to make special, in my opinion. It’s hard to make it special but this did taste pretty good, better than the run of the mill tuna. I liked the Potato Bun and found the sandwich to be good but I would order the other two before this one!

Overall, I came away very impressed by Harbour Galley. Completely unassuming and different than most other counter-service options in Disneyland, this ends up being one of the best. With a sweet and simple atmosphere and delicious food that comes at a good price. It’s hard for anything in Disneyland to be a hidden gem anymore thanks to the popularity of the park and blogs like this one but that’s exactly what Harbour Galley ends up being!
