Happy Groundhog Day, everyone! To help you celebrate (as if anyone needs help celebrating this glorious day) our writers got together and answered a Disney-related question. Here are questions and answers, please leave your answer in the comments!
Question of the Week: Would you ever do a runDisney event? Why or why not? Is there a race in particular that interests you?
Cassie – I am definitely hoping to do a run Disney event in the next year or so! After seeing Andrew and Melissa do one and read about their experience I can’t wait until I can participate as well! I have also been way more into fitness and exercise than I ever have in my life (lost 23 pounds so far!) so I feel totally motivated to something I would never do before, like run a 5k! I would probably want to participate in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend…because as much as I love the idea of running a marathon, I also really love food and wine!
Melissa L. – Yeah Cassie! Way to go!
If I were to do another run, I think it would have to be in Disney World just to see what the experience is like there. I think my top would be the Princess Half Marathon, but I would be thrilled to do any other one as well!
Andrew – I would be excited to do another runDisney event. I can definitely see why others are addicted to these events. I had a blast doing our first one. Like Melissa said, I’d like to do one on Walt Disney World if and when I do another one. I’d just like to see a different course than one we have already ran. If I had to pick one specifically I’d probably go with the Wine & Dine Half Marathon like Cassie. Her reasoning was perfect, the event would be cool but the food would be even more exciting. The Star Wars events would be awesome, as well.
Since our question of the week is a little brief this week, here is a quick round-up of my favorite posts from last week in the Disney blogosphere:
- Disneytouristblog.com had many nice posts last week. My favorites were the Disneyland construction update and the ridiculous but great top-10 bathrooms in Walt Disney World. Be sure to check out that blog if you never have, Tom and Sarah do amazing work.
- Disneyfoodblog.com was up to their usual quality last week, writing about some of the in-depth details about the newly opened Skippers Canteen. They also had several nice restaurant reviews.
- Lou Mongello and Ryan Wilson (of Main Street Gazette) talked about Disney legend Harper Goff on this week’s WDW Radio Show. I love it when Lou talks about the park history, as not many people are as knowledgable as him on the subject.
- The Disney Dish Podcast with Jim Hill and Len Testa has been going back through all of Disneyland’s history over the last year or so. If you’ve missed any of those, then you are missing out!
