Question of the Week: You can only have one, a trip to Disney World for 5 days and you stay in a deluxe resort or a trip to Disney World for 10 days and you stay in a value resort? Explain why you chose the option you did.

Cassie – I would say 5 days in a deluxe resort! I am a big fan of the amenities that a deluxe resort has to offer and if I am on a vacation I would like my experience to be as wonderful as possible. I also think that more than five days at Disney World would be pretty exhausting. While I have never been there, I know from experience at Disneyland that the parks can drain you both financially and physically. 10 days of Disney World and I would be a poor and worn-out gal!

Melissa L. – This is tough, but I think I would go 10 days and stay at a value resort. While I have yet to stay in a value resort, the only downside o really see is they are further from the parks than other places. But I like to have long trips while I am there so I can take it slow and enjoy it all! I would probably have to have a day off in the middle though!

Andrew – I think this is a tough one. I love the accommodations and location of most of the deluxe resorts but I also don’t spend much time in the hotel room. I think I’d choose the value resort and longer stay. I’d leave at least one day outside of the parks so that I could go relax at some of the deluxe resorts that I want to see. There is simply too much to see at Disney World so I’d almost always side with the longer stay, as long as I was on property.

Kelsee – I would pick the longer stay with a value resort stay. Like Andrew and Melissa mentioned, there’s so much to see and I’d actually like to leave Disney World for once and not feel like I missed out on something. The value resorts are still very nice and as long as I have a nice bed and pillow to rest on at night, I don’t care where I stay as long as I get as much park time in as possible.

  1. I would pick 10 days in value resort! I love Disney World and I only really use my hotel as a place to sleep at night! I spend 90% of my day all around the resort and not at my hotel!
