Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the Disney Park’s latest and greatest land. But you know what they say, a land is only as good as the snacks within it. Okay, maybe they aren’t saying that and the made up phrase is definitely not true but we’re here for all of your galactic snacking needs. In this post we’ll go through the snack stands at Galaxy’s Edge, reviewing and sharing photos of each along the way.

While saying that snacks are what make or break a land is hyperbolic, they definitely assist in the immersion of an IP based land. Part of the reason the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is so captivating is the way they suspend belief of the real world. There’s no Coke products, instead opting for Butterbeer. The restaurants and snack stands fit organically into the land.

Cars Land accomplishes this feat too, as the Cozy Cones have become a favorite snack stop for many guests. Snacks in Cars Land are more common in the real world than the Harry Potter land’s, because drinking a glass of gasoline will lead to death, but they are still innate to the land.

Galaxy’s Edge, in relation to those examples, is slightly different because it is land that we haven’t actually seen in the Star Wars films. Fans know what should be in Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and Radiator Springs. Batuu was up to Imagineering’s imagination, from how to frame the Millennium Falcon all the way down to what snacks should be in the land. Of course, there were a few obvious choices from within the Star Wars universe to include in the land and that’s where I’ll start with these reviews. I’ll rate each on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being I’d rather keep my Mandalorian helmet on for years on end before eating that and 10 being I’d kill Baby Yoda just to eat that.

Blue Milk (Milk Stand) – 8.5/10

This famous Star Wars drink has been extremely divisive among fans but I happen to love it. The drink is dairy-free and plant-based, made with coconut and rice milk. Blue Milk’s taste is similar to a fruit smoothie but with minimal yogurt taste. It’s fruity and creamy with a rich consistency. One caveat is that I enjoyed the frozen drink far more when it was really cold. Once it had melted a little bit the taste consistency was less enjoyable, similar to a melted milkshake. Drink it fast. Brain freeze!

Of course, tastes vary so this is no guarantee that you’ll like the drink. Many people don’t. I do recommend trying it though. The downside here is the high price tag of roughly $8 for a small glass. If the drink was about $5 then I’d get this drink all the time, instead it’s a once every few trips drink for me.

Green Milk (Milk Stand) – 8/10

I think it’s strange how some people love either Blue or Green Milk and hate the other. They have a similar taste to me and, obviously, the same consistency. The Green Milk has a more floral flavor and I don’t like the aftertaste as much as the Blue Milk. With that said I might actually like the first taste of the Green more but I prefer Blue for a full glass. How many times can I write blue and green in one paragraph? The downside here is the cost again.

Ronto Wrap (Ronto Roasters) – 9/10

Calling this a snack may be generous as it’s quite large. The Ronto Wrap is made up of Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, and Tangy Slaw wrapped in Pita Bread. At first glance, the meat is similar to a hot dog with more pork on top of it. That dog is actually made of pork though and has a little bit of heat behind it. The peppercorn sauce and slaw add some variety in flavor and a freshness to the heavy snack. This has been my favorite food item I’ve tasted in Galaxy’s Edge, from either a snack stand or Docking Bay 7.

As I mentioned, the Ronto Wrap is large and is more than enough for a meal. With that in mind, the $13 cost seems reasonable especially when factoring in the higher prices of all other Galaxy’s Edge snacks. If you’re going to eat one thing in this land, make it a Ronto Wrap.

Ronto Morning Wrap – 8/10

This is very similar to the regular Ronto Wrap but with eggs and a little less meat. It’s delicious and one of the best hearty breakfast options in a Disney Park. I give it a slightly lower score because these are still Disney eggs and that’s never really a great addition. Even with them being rubbery, they taste good enough with the Peppercorn Sauce. This is still around $13, which is steep for breakfast but it will fill you up for a while!

Outpost Mix (Kat Saka’s Kettle) – 5/10

I should state that I’m not a huge fan of popcorn, which is what the Outpost Mix amounts to. This popcorn mix is a colorful blend of sweet and spicy flavors, popped in coconut oil. I mean, the mix really does look cool with a blend of red, orange, and purple colors, among others. Unfortunately, the flavors don’t match up to the colorful assortment. The overpowering taste of the Outpost Mix is sweet, similar to a kettle corn. There are some spicier pieces but really they’re pretty bland. I’m guessing if you like popcorn then you’ll like this, otherwise I’d stay away. At $6.50, I’d call this a fine value and it does fall under a snack credit if you’re at Walt Disney World.

If you’re looking for a quick souvenir and drink soda then Galaxy’s Edge does sell specialty Coke bottles that look like thermal detonators. There are far more exciting souvenirs throughout the land but that is one of the cheaper ones. I think I’d rather the land go Harry Potter style and not have any brand name soda but the theming is pretty cool.

Overall, I think Galaxy’s Edge has a decent snack game with room to improve over the years. There are a few others we haven’t got to yet, including a few other Ronto Wraps and Chocolate Popcorn. Docking Bay 7 and Oga’s Cantina have a few other bites and drinks to try and we have separate reviews for those. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is beautifully themed and the snacks continue that theme, albeit with mixed results in the taste department.
