Questions of the Week

Question of the Week (4/22/18)

Every few weeks our writers get together and answer a Disney related question.  Here is this week’s edition.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Name a land (in any park) that is best to visit in the morning, a land that’s best to visit in the afternoon, and a land that’s best to visit at night.

Cassie – My favorite land to visit in the morning is Adventureland. I always start my day with Pirates and Indian Jones and it’s always super quite in the morning. In terms of size it’s one of the smaller lands and gets really busy later. For the afternoon time, I love being at Paradise Pier. It’s fun to ride Screaming in the heat of the afternoon and cools ya down! My favorite land at night is Fantasy Land. The castle is just super magic at night, and the kiddy rides (like Peter Pan) are slower in the evening time.

Andrew – I’m going to go with Disneyland’s Fantasyland in the morning. Getting there at opening and enjoying the dark rides while soaking in the land in the morning light is a great way to start the day. In afternoon I’d pick Animal Kingdom’s Africa. Go on a safari and a walking trail when the animals are active and then cool off at Festival of the Lion King and at the Dawa Bar. At night I’d pick World Showcase. Wandering around, soaking in the atmosphere before and after dinner is ideal. Then watch Illuminations and do another loop around the pavilions afterward.

Leslie – In the morning I like to do Animal Kingdom, when the sun isn’t high is best since it can be the warmest there with all the plants. I think it’s fun to meander about, catch a few rides or do the safari. I also tend to grab breakfast at Starbucks cause I like to be highly caffeinated but a light meal.

For the afternoon I prefer the World Showcase in Epcot. Walking around is fantastic, lunch could either be a sit down meal (anyplace there would be great), or snacks from around the world. If it gets too hot I can pop into a showcase for a show or one of the shops.

Main Street Plant

Nighttime is when I prefer to walk right down the middle of Main Street USA. The shops lit up, the smells, the sounds. It feels like home and you can see the castle pretty well for the projection show and fireworks. Main Street is the first place I visit when I go to the parks, and often the last place. That’s why I like to end my day there in a perfect situation.

Melissa – I like to start my morning in Animal Kingdom with a safari! The sun hasn’t come out to its hottest yet, so walking around the trails is always a bit more peaceful and cooler. Plus then you can eat a mickey cinnamon roll to start your day. I’d then visit Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom for the afternoon! Jump on Space Mountain and take a little break on the PeopleMover! I’d finish my evening then in California Adventure’s Cars Land! Make sure to be there for the town lighting! All the neon is super cool looking at night too. Plus, riding Radiator Springs Racers at night is my favorite time to ride it!

  1. Interesting choice I guess the consensus is animal kingdom. I prefer magic kingdom super early because I love being there for breakfast before the park opens.
